Add-on for Flight simulator X, Flight Simulator X Steam Edition and Prepar3D
Hawker Typhoon MK1B
Although plagued with production problems, when introduced in 1941, the Typhoon was the only RAF front-line fighter capable of keeping up with the new Focke-Wulf FW190.
Affectionately known by many as the “Tiffie”, once refined and improved, the big Hawker became a formidable weapon used mainly for ground-attack and tank-busting duties.
A major contributor to the success of the D-Day landings and many successful long-range ground attack missions to follow, the Hawker Typhoon rightfully earns its place in aviation history alongside its illustrious stable mate, the Hawker Hurricane.

We understand that this particular livery was applied to the earlier Mk1-B "car door" Typhoon but we thought you might enjoy a slightly different look to your "Tiffy"
The history behind the Typhoon in Egypt was fleeting. In mid 1943 3 Hawker Typhoons were sent to the middle east to assess their ability in this field of operations. They were to be trialed under the care of the RAAF 451st squadron.
The general consensus was that the Typhoon was an excellent replacement for the Hawker Hurricane IIc that the squadron was currently using. With the speed and the dive speed being one of many stand-outs. It was only the introduction of the Spitfire MKVc that stopped the Typhoon having a larger role in this theatre.
There is a rudimentary readme and instruction on how to add additional textures in the zip which you can download here.
